About Me

Hi, my name is Bernadette. I began my professional fashion and beauty photography in 2008, and wedding photography in 2010. I am also a graphic designer since graduating from my BA Hon Design course.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR WORK ETHIC AND PERSONALITY?
I care about details and emotions. To achieve what my clients want is the top priority and I'm always able to provide advice so we can achieve more. As a person, I'm warm, friendly, and an easy-going person to work with. I was told my greatest advantage as a wedding photographer is that I can let my clients feel at ease and comfortable, especially useful when it comes to picture time ;)

WHAT'S YOUR STYLE?
My style mostly tended towards a documentary and natural style. I generally aim to take natural pictures capturing happy moments. I believe the most beautiful images are the ones that show joy from your heart. A wedding day can go very quickly so I aim to capture as many moments as I can so the newly wedded couples can recap those beautiful moments from their memories.

Besides the documentary style, I also like to take some beauty-style images of the bride, which happens to be one of my strongest suits in terms of photography skills.

WHAT'S YOUR PAST WORKING EXPERIENCE?
As well as wedding photography over the years, I have also worked in a 3D imaging facility for the games/film industry, and in an international professional hair magazine as an online editor and in multimedia content creator in the past. I have also had some experience in various publishing businesses, which gives me an understanding of what creates a great image.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU DO BESIDES THE PHOTOGRAPHY?
I offer prints in all sizes, wedding photo books, and even printing all your favourite photos in a magazine format, (just like a wedding magazine you can buy from a shop!) at extra costs.

I also do pre-wedding photography, which can be used for your wedding invitations.

DO YOU GO OUTSIDE YOUR WORKING AREA FOR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICES?
Yes. I am based in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, and I take bookings within Cambridgeshire and as far as Bedford. Anywhere outside these regions, all travel fares and/or accommodation (if necessary) are kindly asked to be reimbursed.

WOULD YOU ABLE TO DO A DISCOUNT?
Most of the time depending on what you need, it is very possible that you don't need all the stuff from a package I am to offer, if that's the case I'm happy to cut you a deal.

All the finals must be confirmed at least 15 days before the photography day (your wedding day / pre-wedding photoshoot),  and once it is confirmed, the details of the packages are not to change again. However, you are always welcome to add more prints or books to order at relevant extra costs.

DO YOU WORK ON YOUR OWN?
For a normal-sized wedding (no more than 100 people), I normally work on my own. But with a bigger wedding party, or if you require more angles to be provided in images at your wedding, I would hire an assistant to help around at a little extra cost.

DO YOU SHOOT ON DIGITAL OR ON FILM?
I shoot in digital format. This will allow me to take pictures quickly in vast amounts, so no moment is missed! The advantage of digital photography is that you can always put in post-editing if needed, so you are guaranteed to receive high-quality and great pictures.

ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO KNOW?
In all bookings, it is recommended that I meet with you and your spouse-to-be so you'd feel more comfortable with me when it comes to picture time. It is, of course up to you, if you feel this is necessary. If the wedding venue has a good photo gallery online, this will also help to identify the best spot for some beautiful photos.

Walking around the venue together before the wedding (on the day or in advance) can also allow us to work out where's the best place to take pictures, or where are your favourite spots.

Lastly, please prepare a copy of your wedding schedule (itinerary) so I am aware of the timing for each segment of the day from the ceremony to the reception or after-party.
